The Best Off-Road Vehicle You'll Ever Drive

As the leading lightweight 8x8 available today, the ARGO Avenger 8x8 EFI  offers even more value than other top-of-the-line UTV’s and continues to be Ontario Drive and Gear’s bestseller since its introduction in 2004. With the addition of the new EMS kit, ARGO is able to outperform trucks and other all-terrain vehicles in demanding off road search & rescue operations. The kit is designed to accomodate a modular Ferno # 9 stretcher unit allowing the transport of one patient and up to three other passengers. Driven by a powerful 31 hp 748 cc electronic fuel-injected Kohler LH 775 engine, the new Avenger 8x8 EFI is what emergency organizations and disaster relief agencies have been waiting for. With low emission rates meeting both EPA and CARB standards, the Avenger 8x8 EFI is an effective emergency vehicle maintaining high environmental sustainability protocols. Its technological advances include an effective throttle response for smooth acceleration, improved fuel economy, reliable cold-weather starting, and excellent performance in high altitudes. The fuel delivery system also manages itself without a manual choke control. New on-board diagnostics ensure peace of mind and ease of maintenance.
The top-of-the-line 8x8 ARGO features 25'” Rawhide III tires with an aggressive tread pattern and lug size, as well as excellent approach and departure angles allowing easy travel over formidable obstacles. The Avenger EFI is available with an optional 3.3 high ratio transmission for optimum performance with rubber tracks, seats up to six persons on land, has a load capacity of 1150 lbs. and can tow 1800 lbs. The vehicle is available in several colours including bright blue or red designed specifically to aid in visual recognition. A large number of accessories are also available to those who wish to customize the product for their particular emergency needs.
