Product Update Bulletin – 2008 Specification Centaur

Wednesday, March 26, 2008

ODG is pleased to announce the release of the 2008 specification for the Centaur. Changes to the Centaur have been designed to increase operator / driver cab, ease maintenance and generally improve the product fit, finish or performance. Roof, engine compartment and rear window listed below are NEW for 2008, others are listed and have been introduced as running changes in the last 12 months. Changes to all vehicles are effective immediately

New for 2008:

Increased Operator Cab – The rear window and engine cover have been redesigned to slope 15.5 degrees back from the ROPS. This revision adds a 6 inch ledge for the operator to store some gear. Also allows the auto lube reservoirs to be conveniently located into this new opening. Picture #1 and #2

Rain Drip Edge – The Hard roof  has been increased in width to overhang the ROPS and provide a cover to the top seal of the canvas doors. Increasing the width has allowed us to add a drip edge to the left and right side of the roof panel. Picture #3 and #4

Split Engine Cover – One of the most anticipated changes, the engine cover is now hinged in the center. Covers open upwards instead of to the rear of the cargo compartment. Customers no longer have to remove cargo in order to open or remove the engine cover. Picture #5 and #6

Semi-Automatic Chain Lube – Chains are lubricated through a semi-automatic lubrication system. Reservoirs are located within the drivers cab, chain lube flows to oil bars by opening 4 ball valves. One oil bar lubricates two chains. Picture #7 and #8

Easy Access Fuse Panel – The fuse holder has been upgraded to a one-piece covered panel and has been relocated from the “under-the-dash” location to a convenient front dash mount. Picture #9

Full Floating Automatic Chain Adjusters – All Centaurs come with RC80 Roller chain and automatic take up, full floating adjusters. This along with the auto lubrication has eliminated floorboard removal, daily adjustment and manual lubrication.  Picture #10

We feel these changes greatly improve operator comfort, serviceability and eases daily vehicle checks. In the near future, we will be able to introduce new accessories that will further enhance vehicle performance and use. We look forward to incorporating additional changes and welcome your suggestions. Contact your area manager for further information or suggestions for improvement. We look forward to hearing back from you.
